ABOUT JACKIE

Jacqueline Hinton is a multi-disciplined Pilates Instructor, professional dancer, choreographer, actor, and movement educator in Los Angeles. She is also the CEO & Founder of Good Citizen, a Pilates lifestyle company that designed the world’s first personal Pilates loops. Originally from Austin, Texas, Jackie first discovered Pilates at the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance. Immediately following graduation, Jackie moved to Los Angeles to pursue a professional career performing in television, stage, and film. 

 

In 2006, Jackie completed her comprehensive Pilates certification through the PhysicalMind Institute on all Pilates Apparatus and Pilates Matwork. She studied under Maria Leone of Bodyline LA in Beverly Hills, CA. She has worked with clientele of all levels and lifestyles. These clients include professional dancers, athletes, film and television performers, youths, adults, as well as clients just looking to increase strength, balance, and flexibility. Jackie continually attends classes, workshops, and continuing education courses to keep her Pilates knowledge expanding for herself and her clients.

Jackie teaches private Pilates sessions, duets, and group classes in Santa Monica. She also teaches in-home clients, as well as events for businesses, charities, and corporate events. She is an effective Pilates teacher, while maintaining the Pilates principals, along with attention to detail and movement quality. Importantly, Jackie tailors each client's workout to their own individual needs. Jackie enjoys challenging her clients and pushing them to the next level. 

Jackie's company Good Citizen has been featured in magazines and online publications like British Vogue, Pilates Style Magazine, Pilates Anytime, Voyage LA, Pilates Bridge, Class Pass, Guest of a Guest, and About Health, to name a few. In addition, Jackie has written numerous articles and workout features for Inspirations and Celebrations, Reebok, My Domaine, The Thirty, and Physio Logic. 

Giving back to her community is very important to Jackie. As a longtime member of the Junior League of Los Angeles, Jackie has had the opportunity to work with several non-profits, sharing her love for Pilates and Dance, including the Mar Vista Family CenterChildren's Institute IncCoach Arts, and M.O.S.T.E. Jackie has also had the opportunity to travel back to her home town to volunteer her time to work with the Northeast Early College Highschool Nightline Dance Team.
