PROTOCOL FOR IN-PERSON PRIVATES, DUETS, & GROUP CLASS PILATES:
1.MUST BE VACCINATED/PAPERWORK: You must be vaccinated in order to enter the studio. Please bring your vaccination card with you to the first class, or you can text or email it to me. All clients need to sign a NEW release form the next time you are in the studio, even if you have signed one before. Email: painimyabs@gmail.com
2.MASK: WE ARE CURRENTLY REQUIRED TO WEARING MASKS IN THE STUDIO!!!
3.LOOPS: You are encouraged to bring your own loops, but there are loops at the studio that are available if you don’t want to purchase your own. Please see my recommendations below.
4.CLEAN SOCKS: Clean socks or grip socks are mandatory in the studio at all times to protect our community and to practice better hygiene while in the studio. I emphasize clean socks, so please don’t work out in socks you have been wearing all day. Please see my recommendations below.
5.WATER BOTTLE: Please bring your own water bottle to the studio. There will no longer be water provided at the studio. No food or drinks in the studio, except for water.
6.TOWEL: Please bring your own towel or reformer towel. Towels will not be provided at the studio. Please see my recommendations below for reformer towels.
7.GLOVES: Please bring your own gloves if you plan to hang on the Cadillac. Please see my recommendations below.
8.UPDATED!!! ARRIVAL: Please arrive at the Pilates studio 5 minutes before your scheduled Pilates session. This gives you time to follow the arrival protocol: put belongings in cubbie, put socks on, sanitize hands, attach loops, adjust ropes, and adjust reformers. If your session is at 7am, please arrive at the studio at 6:55am. If you are new, please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time to fill out paperwork. So, new clients, if your session is at 7am, please arrive at the studio at 6:50am. Please no visitors, family members, etc.
10.TARDY: For everyone’s safety, there will be NO late entries. If your session is at 7am, 7:01am is late. If you are late, your session will be forfeited, and you will be charged for the full session. Please be respectful of everyone’s safety, time, and boundaries during this unprecedented time. Please wait outside until I open the studio door. No entry will be allowed after the start of your session or class once the door is closed.
9.CANCELLATION POLICY: A 24-hour cancellation is required for all scheduled appointments. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full session. All sessions must be cancelled by calling or texting at 310.600.4082. Please know this policy will be strictly enforced.
11.PAYMENT: All sessions and classes must be paid in advance. Payments can be made by cash, Apple Pay, or Venmo. Payments must be made before you start your new package to hold your regular day and time. Your session will be cancelled if it has not been paid for in advance. No payment, no Pilates. Payments are non-refundable, and packages are not transferable.
11.UPON ARRIVAL: Please wait outside until I open the studio door. No entry will be allowed after the start of your session or class once the door is closed.
12.WASH OR SANITIZE HANDS: Once inside the studio, please set down your belongings inside one of the cubbies, put on your clean/grip socks, wash or sanitize your hands, make your way to your reformer with the loops of your choice, attach your loops, wipe down your reformer, and make sure your ropes are the same length. Please wait on your reformer for class to begin.
13.ADJUSTING EQUIPMENT: You will be responsible for making all adjustments to equipment and props, including loops being attached, length of ropes, headrest going up or down, foot bar going up or down, spring bar moving, springs being changed, and box being placed on and off the equipment. I will give detailed directions on how and when to do all of this throughout your class.
14.HANDS-OFF ADJUSTMENTS: I will be teaching using verbal cues only and will continue to provide modifications, progressions, adjustments, and corrections verbally during class. You have done an amazing job over the past year and four months, so I have no worry that you will continue to progress.
15.ADDITIONAL SAFETY: Everyone must practice social distancing in the studio by staying 6 feet apart. The reformers are also positioned 6ft apart. I will open the window above the front door, open the back door, and we have several air purifiers at the studio. Common areas will be disinfected between each class.
16.CLEANING PROTOCOL: Class will end promptly at 55 after. Disinfectant wipes or disinfectant spray and paper towels will be provided. You will be responsible for wiping down your own equipment, including the headrest, carriage, foot bar, and any other surfaces you may have touched. Please throw your wipe or paper towel in the trash and remove your loops. If you borrowed loops from the studio, you will put them in the basket labeled used loops. If you brought your own loops, please put them in your bag and take them with you.
17.LEAVING THE STUDIO: I will open the studio door for you when class ends. Please gather your belongings and promptly exit the studio, so that the next class can begin on time. If you have questions about your schedule, please wait to ask once you are out of the studio, or you can text or call me at a later time. We are trying to keep traffic in and out of the studio flowing, so there will be no congregating inside the studio.
18.FEEL SICK: Working out is not only counterproductive when you’re sick, it’s also a safety concern right now. To help protect the well-being of our community, please STAY HOME if you feel sick, have flu-like symptoms, have been in contact with someone who has tested positive with COVID-19, or you’ve tested positive for COVID-19. This includes myself. If I see that during your workout you don’t seem well, I will end your session, and you will be charged for the full session.
19.LOCAL/STATE/FEDERAL GUIDELINES: We are monitoring local, state, and federal guidelines, as well as using common sense, as we are committed to our community’s health. We’ll keep you posted if the situation changes, and we intend to play it extremely safe.
