ABOUT JACQUELINE

Jacqueline Hinton is a multi-disciplined performer, actor, professional dancer, choreographer, and entrepreneur in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from Austin, Texas and a third generation Mexican American, Jackie started dancing at the age of three in ballet, tap, and jazz at Shirley Mc Phail's School of Dance. Jackie's formal training took her to Ballet Austin and Dancer's Workshop where she studied under several prestigious instructors including William Piner, Michelle Martin, and Kelly Morgan to name a few. Graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, Jackie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance, where she trained with Yakov Sharir (Batsheva), Holly Williams (Mark Morris), Lyn Wiltshire (The Wiz, Alvin Ailey), Bestsy Cooper (New York City Ballet), Jeffrey Bullock (Hubbard Street), and Scott (David Dorfman Dance). Additionally, Jackie was a member of the award winning ensemble Dance Repertory Theatre, Roustabout Dance Company, and Steel Dance Company.

 

Immediately following graduation, Jackie moved to Los Angeles to purse her professional career performing in stage, film, and tv. Jackie began her professional career as a guest artist with Los Angeles Modern and Ballet Company under resident choreographer Robert Gilliam at the El Portal Theatre. Shortly there after, Jackie was recruited to join Clairobscur Dance Company, performing in Los Angeles, New York City, Brooklyn, Boston, San Fransisco, and Utah.

 

Jacqueline has gone on to study acting and made her acting debut on as June Greer on NBCUniversal Free Agents, Co-Staring opposite Hank Azaria, Katherine Hahn, Mo Mandel, and Anthony Head. She also Co-Stared in Stalked By A Ghost, shared the screen in the with Elliot Gould in Dorfman In Love and has been in several commercials. Jackie is committed to her ongoing training and has spent the last several years studying with some of L.A.'s most respected acting teachers and coaches, including Diane Charles at Margie Harber Studio, Killian McHugh, as well as studying improve at the Groundings, Second City, and iO West. 

 

Currently, Jackie is in her eighth season performing with Mixed Emotions Theatrix and director and choreographer by Janet Roston. Highlights include, “Anais: Unbound”, in an acclaimed run at the Greenway Court Theatre in Los Angeles, a triumphant success at the Avignon Festival D’Off in Avignon France, as well as, the La Nouvelle Eve in Paris, France, Festival International Theatre de Casablanca in Casablanca, Morocco, New York, and Santa Barbara. Following this, Jackie performed in “Gatsby Redux” created for Los Angeles Music Center event, Moves After Dark at Disney Concert Hall and So Now You Know in Los Angeles and New York.

 

Additional stage, film and tv credits include the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Nat Geo's Party Like the Rich and Famous, Good Citizen's Print Campaign, Studio City Casino Instillation, Em Sculpt Commercial, Revitol Skin Care Commercial, Hotel Cinema's music video Haunted, Harriet's music video Ten Steps , Kevin Drew's music video You In Your Were choreographed by Zach Galifianakas, Spin Maddox's music video Prosper, and Gym Form Ab Storm commercial.   

Expanding in her career, Jackie is molding her experiences and moving forward into choreography and movement direction. Jackie has most recently choreographed the #IMomSoHard U.S. comedy tour, as well as the Amazon Prime Original #IMomSoHard Comedy Special, co-choreographed Syzygy for the Utah Dance Film Festival awarded 2nd Place, the "My Girl Friday" for artist Murjan, movement and art direction for Good Citizen: A Pilates Lifestyle Brand, Revitol Natural Skin Care, the Junior League of Los Angeles’ Board of Directors Legacy Ball, Riverside Metro Auto Group, and TAG! A Quarantine Dance. 

Giving back to her community is very important to Jackie. As a longtime member of the Junior League of Los Angeles, Jackie has had the opportunity to work with several non-profits, sharing her love for Pilates, Dance, and Performing including the Mar Vista Family CenterChildren's Institute IncCoach Arts, and M.O.S.T.E. Jackie has also had the opportunity to travel back to her home town to volunteer her time to work with the Northeast Early College Highschool Nightline Dance Team.
